What habits and strategies are most important to aid your recovery?

We often recommend that coaches whose teams are using the Fit For 90 team monitoring platform post the Recovery Point System in the locker room to help the players realize the importance of various daily habits and recovery strategies. As a part of our ongoing educational effort we are happy to provide the Recovery Point System as a free download. Please share with other coaches, parents, and players if you find it helpful.

Daily Habits

There are numerous daily habits that enhance the recovery for your players. Knowing the importance of each is the first step. By educating our players we can start the process of behavior change to optimize recovery and get them ready to perform.

Condensed Schedule for Tournaments

During weekends where the players experience multiple matches during a condensed period of time it's even more critical that we not only focus on the daily habits but have additional strategies in place such as pool recovery sessions, ice baths, etc. We may not be able to change the schedule of the tournament but hopefully we can reduce the likelihood of injury by applying various recovery strategies. The Fit For 90 Recovery Point System is merely the starting point.
